On 15th and 16th of August 2020, the German – Syrian Research society held a workshop with the title “Medical Information Resources” among Zoom platform. The Workshop included several aspects like introducing the most important medical information resources and data bases, as well as direct applied practices on these platforms and how to be used and how to save the information extracted from them.

The participants showed a higher interest in the following topics:
-The differences between journals, publishers, databases and search engines.
– How to search for journals to publish a paper and how to avoid predatory journals .
– How to develop robust advanced search strategies on PubMed
