COSY – IFAC

About the project

COSY-IFAC is a capacity building and outreach initiative connecting Syrian engineers, researchers, and students with the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

INFO

The project centers on a two day workshop at the University of Hama, complemented by regional follow up visits, introductory educational content about IFAC, an AI assisted learning agent for automatic control, and an academic mentoring program. It targets a broad and inclusive audience: school students, university students and graduates, researchers and PhD candidates, women in engineering, practitioners, institutional representatives, and STEM teachers.

Sponsored by IFAC Technical Committee 9.4, Control Education, and managed by the German Syrian Research Foundation (DSFG e.V.), COSY-IFAC aims to lay the groundwork for a sustainable Syrian control community connected to IFAC, including initial steps toward a Syrian IFAC National Member Organization.

The project is led by Prof. Dr. Bassam Alrifaee, Dr. Mounzer Dali, and Dr. Ahmad Kurdi.
