This applies to both specific individual applications as well as long-term planning processes and strategic financing advice.
The focus here is on collaboration with scientists within the framework of the university’s profile lines and research priorities.

This service helps them feel at home in Ilmenau, advises them on their start in Ilmenau, organizes events and excursions, and establishes contacts with international researchers, teachers, and friends.

Services

This service also offers the ability to answer questions and inquiries online and provides all information about the support team and the services available. These services include:

Welcome Center for International Researchers

The International Welcome Office serves as a service and interface for all areas of the university and acts as a bridge for international cooperation.
We inform students and researchers abroad about lecture offerings, international exchange programs, and suitable funding opportunities.
The Welcome Centre supports and advises international students before they begin their studies at TU Ilmenau and accompanies them throughout their studies.
In addition, it advises the university management on international academic matters, oversees cooperation with partner universities worldwide, supports the offer of double degree programs and acts as the university’s interface with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the National Agency for University Cooperation of the European Union.

University living environment (health, sports and culture)
