Technical University of Dortmund

More than 35,000 students sit at the chairs of the Technical University of Dortmund in North Rhine-Westphalia and draw on its wealth of knowledge.

Among the special activities that promote diversity and integration is the Buddy Program, which helps international and local students settle in, get to know different cultures, and discover opportunities both inside and outside the university through events and training sessions. The university has a dedicated center for all these activities, the International Meeting Center, which organizes fairs, programs, intercultural exchange activities, language courses, and more.

Welcome Center

The Study Start Center at the University of Dortmund offers a wide range of individual advice and support to help students get started on their studies at the university.
The aim of the center is to help students of all disciplines bridge the gap between school and university comfortably and efficiently.
The center’s activities include preparatory courses, introductory events and activities, and campus tours. It also addresses students’ academic needs, assists with choosing majors and concentrations, and maintains a mathematics support office.

Financial support

Financial aid provides students with the opportunity to meet their financial need for academic achievement at this university through available research or technical work opportunities, full or partial scholarships awarded by the university, or interest-free academic loans.
Employment opportunities range from assisting researchers and professors at the university to local companies hiring students for part-time positions.
