It is an association of the nine leading technical universities in Germany.
Technische Universität Braunschweig is the academic center of the city of Braunschweig and is located in the heart of one of Europe’s most research-intensive regions.
It has 16,800 students and 3,800 employees, making it the largest technical university in Northern Germany.

Research areas of the Technical University of Braunschweig

In the "Mobility" axis, researchers are researching innovative technologies for sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility. This includes areas such as intelligent vehicles, connected driving, charging infrastructure, mobility management, and digitalization.
In aerospace research, the focus is on reducing emissions and noise, as well as the reuse of air transport systems and the further development of air traffic management.
The "Metrology" focus area is dedicated to measurement in all its forms. The Laboratory for Nanometry (LENA) currently under construction brings this diversity together in one location. Metrology researchers are putting their acquired knowledge into practice.
The Engineering for Health Hub is a multidisciplinary platform for the latest research in engineering and health.

The Diversity Office promotes student diversity at TU Braunschweig and is the central contact point for students who face challenges and obstacles in their studies (visible and invisible barriers that are as diverse as the students themselves), whether due to a physical or mental disability, a chronic illness, situational stress, discrimination, language barriers, or as a first-year student.
