Required documents

  • Certificate of study/certificate of enrollment for the summer semester 2022, stating the semesters completed so far, as well as the course of study and subject.
  • the Biography.
  • Evidence of social engagement (e.g. in political groups, parties, trade unions, associations, university committees, NGOs through letters of confirmation, event programs, etc. in which your engagement is highlighted/confirmed).
  • References from university teachers/professors/lecturers (no doctorate required) regarding your performance and study ability (in German or English; no template required).
  • A copy of your highest educational qualification (e.g., bachelor's or associate's degree) with your final grade (if not available in German or English, please also attach an uncertified translation).
  • A current overview of all academic records from the German university – if available (e.g. transcripts, certificates, performance overviews, provisional certificates).
  • Extracts from the study regulations that can be used to determine the standard period of study for your degree program.
  • A copy of your residence permit or visa for Germany (if you are a citizen of a country outside the EU).
  • Proof of German language skills at least at level B2 (proof of German language skills is also required if you are studying in English).
