Personal Letter of Recommendation: This letter should focus on your personality and interests, as well as your personal values and social commitment. This letter cannot be written by the same person as the academic letter mentioned above.
Evidence of your volunteer work.
High school diploma or certificate of admission from your university in Germany (if applicable).

Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship requirements for doctoral students:

A detailed description of your doctoral project: The description must be written in German or English, be 4 to 5 words long, and explain your research project, its scientific significance, the scientific and theoretical approach you use, and the motivations for choosing your research topic.
It should also include the time you took to write the proposal and the references you used.
Academic letter of recommendation: This letter should be written by your doctoral supervisor if you already have a dissertation ready for submission.
Written confirmation from the university or department: Admission to the doctoral program is possible without any conditions.

How do I apply for the scholarship?

Based on the complete application documents, the awarding institution selects suitable students from the applications received. Based on their requirements, it decides whether to invite the student to a selection meeting or reject the application.
In individual cases, deferment may occur if the applicant does not meet sufficient requirements, but there is an impression that this will be possible in the foreseeable future.
The admission decision is made through a selection process, during which applicants participate in a 30-45 minute interview. During this interview, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself to the examiners.
