Information about the scholarship

Other scholarship benefits, if any:

The scholarship holder receives a monthly allowance of €2,300, plus a grant of €400 per child and €100 for each additional child. This family allowance applies to children under 18 years of age.
After receiving the title of “Associate Professor” (equivalent to the German qualification) or “Full Professor” or “Distinguished Professor” (equivalent to the North American university system), the scholarship amount is 3,100 euros per month.
Possibility to cover the costs of scientific research and publication.

Additionally, if necessary, indexes and bibliographies (maximum 8 pages).
Font size at least 11 and line spacing 1.5.

Time and work plan with information on necessary trips to archives, libraries, museums or other destinations.
Description of trips to archives, museums or other destinations closely related to the project topic and detailed calculation of costs (travel and accommodation).
There are no fixed daily allowances or flat rates for hotel costs.
There are no tuition or fees.
Provide an invoice for material costs (e.g., for photocopies or film copies of archive material, photographs, etc., not a flat rate for books).

Is a language test required?

How long is the application period for the scholarship and how often per year can I apply?

The Foundation’s committees meet twice a year to review applications and decide on funding. The deadline for the 2022 Fall Meeting of the Foundation’s committees is June 1, 2022. Applications must be received by the Foundation’s office by this date. The Foundation’s committees will meet in November 2022. If the application is successful, funding can begin as early as December 2022.
