Chemnitz University of Technology

Chemnitz University of Technology is the third largest university in Saxony and an international university with strong regional, national and international networks.
It employs around 2,300 academic and administrative staff, as well as more than 9,600 students from approximately 90 countries.
Furthermore, Chemnitz University of Technology occupies a top position among state universities at the national level and has continuously pursued its positive development and the highest proportion of highly qualified personnel.
The university connects engineering and natural sciences as well as mathematics with humanities, social sciences, and economics.
In addition, leading programs and research projects have been launched, such as:
Sensor technology and Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science for Humanities and Social Scientists, and programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Natural Sciences.

Promoting young talent

The establishment of the “Centre for Equal Opportunities in Science and Research of Chemnitz Unity” aims to achieve gender equality through the advancement of women and equal opportunities between the sexes.
This center was established in 2009 under the direction of the Central Equal Opportunities Commissioner. It offers a variety of services, including:
Information and advice services as well as projects of the Equal Opportunities Commission.
In addition to the “Young Scholars Center” founded in 2014, it coordinates and offers joint programs for faculty members, offers support during and after doctoral studies, and provides consulting services with the aim of strengthening the university infrastructure for the training and support of university members.

Chemnitz University of Technology attracts international students, doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and experienced researchers to transfer and exchange knowledge and skills and to further strengthen cooperation with partner universities worldwide.
