Content Writer/ Copywriter

Core Requirements:

A Content Writer/Copywriter at the German-Syrian Research Foundation is expected to have the following Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing and storytelling abilities in both Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated experience in digital content creation for social media, websites, blogs, or similar platforms.
• Commitment to attending regular team meetings and contributing to collaborative planning.

Skills Requirements:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in creating content tailored for various digital formats (social media posts, blogs, infographics, newsletters, etc.).
• Ability to plan and execute creative campaigns with a strategic mindset.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword optimization.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and Telegram.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Creative, flexible, and able to adapt writing style based on the platform and audience.
• Basic understanding of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

as a Content Writer/ Copywriter, you will oversee, plan and evaluate the following whereas execution will be handed over to the marketing team:

• Craft compelling, concise, and well-structured content that reflects the foundation’s voice and appeals to the target audience.
• Plan, create, and publish original content daily across various platforms (social media, website, newsletters, etc.).
• Write and edit content for Instagram captions, stories, feature stories, blogs, newsletters, animated videos, and more.
• Optimize content with relevant keywords for improved SEO performance.
• Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to ensure content accuracy and credibility.
• Edit, revise, and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and high quality.
• Collaborate with the communications team and other departments to gather input and develop engaging materials.
• Contribute to strategy sessions, team meetings, and brainstorming discussions for campaign development.
• Help maintain and update content on the DSFG website and digital platforms.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, content best practices, and emerging digital formats to keep content fresh and engaging.
