Diversity
University culture is a topic that concerns the entire university. University members strive to achieve strategic cultural goals while simultaneously fostering the diverse perspectives that exist within the university. These perspectives arise from differences in professional experience, gender identity, age group, social background, family responsibilities, or living with a disability or chronic illness, and enrich research, teaching, and campus life.
As an employer, the university strives to provide pleasant working conditions for all employees, thus promoting, developing, and integrating their potential. It also fosters a university culture characterized by transparency, appreciation, and creative innovation. This promotes campus life based on democratic values and a commitment to ecological sustainability.
Dresden University of Technology is a meeting place for students and staff from diverse backgrounds. To make the diversity of living conditions at the university visible and tangible for everyone, Diversity Days are held annually under the direction of the University’s Diversity Management Department. The 2022 Diversity Days were held under the motto “10 Years of Diversity Management – Making a Difference Together.”
