I am a physician, medical data scientist and healthcare systems researcher. I studied Medicine at the University of Damascus and later pursued a Master’s in Global Urban Health at the Freiburg University. Currently, i am is a PhD candidate in medical data science at the University of Cologne.

From 2007 to 2017, I worked as a humanitarian aid worker and health systems researcher across the Middle East. Currently serves as the Data Steward at the Medical Data Integration Center of the University Hospital Cologne.

My technical expertise includes Python, R, SQL, CQL, AQL, and SPSS, along with proficiency in FHIR, openEHR, data modelling, and interactive dashboard development. I specialize in medical data integration, leveraging advanced analytics to drive research and clinical decision-making.
