Training on "Basics of Medical Research"
Introduction:
This training course is planned and implemented in a joint cooperation between DSFG, SGMA, and other researchers from Syria, and is aiming to empower higher education studients to implement their academic research.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the significance of medical research and its impact on healthcare.
- Develop a critical analytical approach for evaluating medical information.
- Differentiate between various types of medical research.
- Formulate clear research questions, hypotheses, aims, and objectives.
- Apply the principles of evidence-based medicine.
- Select appropriate study designs for specific research questions.
- Generate research ideas and conduct effective literature searches.
- Develop a basic research proposal.
- Perform introductory statistical analyses relevant to medical research.
- Understand the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical research and data analysis.
- Acquire basic skills in writing scientific papers for journals and conferences.
- Understand how to structure and submit a well-documented medical case report.
