Syrian Academic Compass - SAC
The Syrian Academic Compass (SAC) project focuses on empowering Syrian academics in Syria and abroad.
Why SAC?
We want to help recent graduates from Syrian universities interested in working or continuing their academic careers abroad navigate their academic and career paths outside of Syria.
How will SAC reach its goals?
We collect experiences from graduates of Syrian universities working/studying outside Syria, and we deliver these experiences to Syrians in the final phases of their bachelor studies or who have recently graduated from University.
SAC project regularly provides reports from experienced Syrians to young Syrians
SAC Specialties:
We collect information through surveys, analyse them and present them in reports.
Some of the topics covered in our surveys include pathways to academic reintegration, recognition of credentials, skills and professional development, career development, support from diaspora networks, financial aid and funding support, and online learning and resource platforms.
The Target Group in our Surveys:
Bachelor’s degree holders from one of the Syrian universities, who have migrated and pursued their careers and academic endeavors outside Syria. The project will be divided into several steps (or sprints in Scrum language), and each will focus on one academic field or discipline. A report will be produced for each group or discipline and published on the DSFG website.
