Guiding Your Journey

There is no clear path, and everyone faces many challenges in choosing their own journey. Fortunately, you don’t have to navigate this process alone. The Mentoring Program connects you with individuals who have already found their path—where experience meets ambition, and wisdom fuels innovation.

What services does the Mentoring Program provide?

Our advisors possess diverse expertise, allowing them to assist in several areas:

  1. Support in the Application Process:

   – Searching for Scholarships: Advisors help you find scholarship opportunities relevant to your academic or professional field and guide you on submitting strong applications.

   – Writing a Motivation Letter: Our advisors offer detailed advice on crafting a standout motivation letter that captures the attention of admissions committees by highlighting your strengths and experiences.

   – Preparing Required Documents: Assistance includes help with collecting and preparing necessary documents for your application, such as academic records, letters of recommendation, and a CV, ensuring a comprehensive and compelling submission.

  1. Academic Advising:

   – Adapting to the New Study Environment: Academic advisors assist new students in adjusting to their new study environment and understanding the demands of their studies and research.

   – Discussing Research Areas and Questions: Our advisors guide you in selecting suitable research areas, formulating strong research questions, and organizing and starting a research project.

  1. Adapting to a New Environment:

   – Daily Life Support: Advisors provide guidance on adapting to your new environment, including advice on daily life, local facilities, and cultural and social activities. This support helps you integrate more smoothly into the community.

Three trainees from the Mentoring Program have been nominated for interviews for the Italian Government Scholarship for this year. The program has also assisted several Hilde Domin Scholarship students in preparing their documents and applying to German universities. Additionally, our advisors have supported many students applying for the DAAD scholarship, with some advancing to the next stage of the process.
