Core Requirements:

A Graphic Designer at the German-Syrian Research Foundation is expected to have the following Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Graphic Designer.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects), Canva, and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and attend weekly meetings with the Graphic Design and Media teams.
Skills Requirements:
  • Expertise in graphic design tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, Canva, and basic video editing software.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for design consistency and visual appeal.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt designs for various platforms and ensure optimized visual impact across digital and print media.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining creativity and focus.
  • Knowledge of editorial design principles, ensuring that messages are conveyed clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities:

as a Graphic designer, you will oversee, plan and evaluate the following whereas execution will be handed over to the marketing team:

  • Create and design engaging multimedia content for social media platforms, promotional materials, and other visibility items.
  • Produce high-quality visual assets, including social media posts, feature stories, reels, short videos, infographics, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the ideation and development of surface graphics and textural designs.
  • Adapt designs for different platforms, ensuring they are optimized for both digital and print media.
  • Manage the design workflow, including project timelines and deadlines, to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Iterate and refine designs based on feedback from the team, ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Provide editorial guidance to ensure the visuals and messages in audio-visual products are clear, compelling, and current.
  • Collaborate daily with the team, discussing suggestions for improvement and adjustments in visibility and content.
  • Contribute to weekly meetings with the Graphic Design and Media teams to discuss design suggestions, improvements, and adjustments.
