Head of the QC laboratory at Aenova Holding GmbH. Holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Hannover with 4 years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher in Germany. Manager of the mentoring program in the DSFG from 2021 to 2024.
Ms. Razan Hessenow
Vice President of the DSFG
Post-doc researcher in the field of cancer and cancer therapies at the university hospital Essen. Manager of external collaboration and academic empowerment scholarship projects.
Dr. Samer Alkarkoukly
General Secretary of the DSFG
A physician, medical data scientist and healthcare systems researcher. He studied Medicine at the University of Damascus, Master’s in Global Urban Health at the Freiburg University, and currently, pursuing a PhD in medical data science at the University of Cologne.
Joining DSFG in 2022, Samer serves as Workshops manager and an active mentor.
Dr. Amer Ghalawinji
Board member of the DSFG
A Postdoc researcher at the University of Lübeck. He has finished his PhD studies in Computational Biology at the University of Münster, He also hold a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics at Saarland University and a Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering at Damascus University.
Prof. Dr. Hani Harb
Board member of the DSFG
Professor of Infectious Immunology at Technical University of Dresden. Former President of the German-Syrian Research Foundation.
